December 2000 /January 2001

Gobo, the Goblin

Software:
Realsoft 3d

Making of:

The body of the gobo was done with sds. It's one mesh.
For colouring I used vertex-painting.
Bump-mapping was done using perface-mapping. I didn't used the UV-Editor because after the first beta of sp in december 2000 realsoft crashed every time I called the UV-Editor. But nevertheless it was no problem to paste the textures on the selected faces as parrallel-mappings. After aplying the texture I painted the bumps on it and testrendered the result in realsoft.

The hair was done using about 20.000 2d-particles which I mapped on the SDS-mesh using the hair-tool.

The iris was textured with a selfilluminating vsl-material.

The Body of the Gobo is still under construction and waiting to get bumpmapped.
