It is possible in Realsoft 3D to model only one half of the model and seeing the other half realtime updated. See here how this is done. |
I nearly went insane (no I'm not already ;) ... I think ...) to make a convincing hair-fashion for my sds-modelled lady head till a nice mate sent me a shader he got from Realsoft. I asked Vesa Meskanen to distribute this one and he told me that "all shaders done by Realsoft are freely distributable". Find here the shader and some test project and my little insights how to use it. |
It took me a while to get some good methods working to texture my sds-models. Face-mapping is good but didn't did the job because it makes hard edges and gave some problems to set the right scope for special places at the model. Vertex-defined textures did for me the best job. I was asked on the mailing-list to make a tutorial for this. Oki here it is. |
